Spice Mix For Chicken/Beef/Oxtail Soup.
This special spice blend is a traditional, authentic base for preparing various Indonesian soups with chicken, beef, or oxtail.
Preparation:
Cook meat (400 g oxtail, beef, or 1/2 chicken, cut into pieces) in 900 ml water. Add bamboo shoots and mixed vegetables (carrots, green beans, red beans, celery) and cook over low heat until the meat is tender.
Tips for a stronger flavor:
Add 2 tablespoons sliced/chopped shallots and 1 tablespoon sliced garlic with oil or butter to the soup, serve together with bamboo shoots.
