Unfried colorful tapioca chips with garlic flavor
Kerupuk Bawang Mentah are raw, uncooked Indonesian garlic crackers that must be deep-fried before eating. They consist mainly of tapioca flour, garlic, and salt, are often gluten-free, and have a hard, dry texture. After being deep-fried in hot oil, they become a crispy, spicy snack or a side dish to meals like Nasi Goreng.
Frying instructions:
- Pour a sufficient amount of cooking oil into the frying pan, wait until the oil is hot enough.
- Add crackers one by one to the pan until they expand, turn once and take them out when they are crispy.
