Unfried Tapioca Chips with Garlic Flavor, spicy
Kerupuk Palembang Bocah Tua is a popular Indonesian brand of raw, vegetarian tapioca crackers with a garlic flavor. Originally from Palembang, they are often spicy and are made into crispy chips by briefly frying them in hot oil. These chips are known as a high-quality, gluten-free garlic option.
Vegetarian/Vegan: Unlike traditional prawn crackers (krupuk), this variety is often vegetarian/vegan and contains no animal by-products.
Use: A popular side dish for Indonesian meals or as a snack.
Frying instructions:
- Pour a sufficient amount of cooking oil into the frying pan, wait until the oil is hot enough.
- Add crackers one by one to the pan until they expand, flip once and remove when they are crispy.
