Bumbu Lodeh Bamboo is an authentic Indonesian instant spice paste for quick and easy preparation of Sayur Lodeh, a traditional vegetable stew in coconut milk sauce.
Sayur Lodeh is a traditional dish that is particularly popular in Javanese cuisine. It is a type of mild vegetable curry cooked in a creamy coconut milk broth.
Preparation:
Cook 500g of vegetables (zucchini, green beans, bamboo shoots, eggplant, green chili, cabbage) in 1 liter of water or clear broth (optional: add 100g of beef/shrimp (omit for vegetarians).
Add Bamboe Lodeh and cook until done. Stir in 2 cups of coconut milk or 70 ml of milk and cook for another 3 minutes.
